PETRONAS announced today that TechnipFMC subsidiary FMC Wellhead Equipment Sdn. Bhd has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (iEPCI) contract for a subsea production system, Umbilical, Riser and Flowline (SURF) for its Limbayong Deepwater Development Project, offshore Sabah.

Limbayong field consists of 10 deepwater wells which tie back to the Limbayong floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit in Malaysia. TechnipFMC will design, manufacture, deliver and install subsea equipment including subsea trees, manifolds, umbilicals, flexible risers, flowlines, jumpers, and other associated subsea hardware for the project.

“The project will pave the way for the development of the surrounding prospects within 18 to 30km of its vicinity. This will subsequently translate into more opportunities and economic spin-offs for the local support industry.”

This project award showcases TechnipFMC’s added value of their unique integrated offering (iEPCI™) and Subsea 2.0 products to the Asia Pacific region.
